At Plantage Middenlaan Dental Practice, we therefore advise you to regularly visit a dental hygienist. You can come to our modern dental practice in Amsterdam East for an appointment with a dental hygienist. You don’t need a dentist’s referral for this.
TREATMENT BY OUR DENTAL HYGIENIST
One of our dental hygienists’ most important tasks is preventing you from having problems with your teeth. Healthy teeth are characterized, amongst other things, by having healthy gums. Therefore, it is imperative for you to maintain your gums and teeth as best you can. Our dental hygienists will therefore check your gums thoroughly and will advise you on how to best take care of your teeth and gums.

REIMBURSEMENT OF COSTS
The costs for treatment by a dental hygienist are not covered by the basic health insurance for adults. If you have additional insurance for the dentist, the costs for a dental hygienist are often covered. To be completely sure, check with your health insurer.
Costs for children younger than 18 are covered by a basic health insurance. For children, no additional insurance is needed.
